Rory has 20 years’ experience in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery having trained in the NHS in London teaching hospitals along with other numerous teaching hospitals in major cities in England, Europe, Canada and the USA.
He is a consultant surgeon, which should be distinguished from the title specialist, and is a title given to a handful of doctors in Dubai, meaning his patients know he has achieved a higher level of both vast surgical experience and rigorously obtained formal qualifications.
He qualified from both St. Mary’s (Imperial College London) and St. George’s Hospitals (University of London) in 2001 and 2002 respectively with Bachelor’s degrees in Medicine, Surgery and Surgical Sciences (First-Class honours).

He qualified from both St. Mary’s (Imperial College London) and St. George’s Hospitals (University of London) in 2001 and 2002 respectively with Bachelor’s degrees in Medicine, Surgery and Surgical Sciences (First-Class honours).
He is English board certified passing the Fellowship Examination (FRCS) in Plastic Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2013.
In the same year he was awarded a prestigious postdoctoral Plastic Surgery Research Fellowship at Stanford University, California. His research focused on tissue engineering and studying the changes that occur during the facial ageing process in terms of bone and soft tissues. Concurrently, he successfully completed an MBA in healthcare management from an NHS leadership award.
On his full-time return to England, Rory completed further consultant level fellowship training in aesthetic (cosmetic) surgery, laser and non-surgical anti-ageing treatments (all aspects of dermal fillers) and also microsurgical breast reconstruction at the world renowned Royal Marsden Hospital in London.
As a result, his experience is extensive and ranges from multi-region reconstructive surgery (after cancer, trauma and burns) to all aspects of aesthetic surgery and non-surgical treatments. You will see this by the extensive list of conditions treated by Dr Rory.
As one of the founding members of MPSI Clinic, his personal interest has focused on aesthetic breast surgery, body contouring, non-surgical rejuvenation and the wider medical aesthetic arts. One of Dr Rory’s passions is to bring world class breast cancer reconstruction using the patients’ own tissues (DIEP flaps) to the Middle East.

He is a clinical investigator and sits on the global advisory and review board for multiple plastic and aesthetic surgery journals. He also sits on multiple committees and interview panels for the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and Ministry of Health (MOH) and Prevention.
He is experienced in medicolegal work and sits on the higher committee for medical liability in Dubai and often sees patient who have had unfortunate outcomes from both surgery and non-surgical treatments and acts as an expert second opinion.
Rory is an innovator and embraces new evidence based scientific methods and technologies to serve his cosmetic and reconstructive patients better each year.
The field of aesthetics is constantly evolving and as such there are more options for aesthetic refinement and rejuvenation than ever before. This allows delivery of beautiful results with less downtime, increasingly delaying the need for more invasive surgeries until later in life.
He is obsessed with achieving the highest possible standards of care and exceptional outcomes focusing on natural results. His personal philosophy is that aesthetic and reconstructive surgery should be a very positive and life-enhancing event for every patient with an exceptional level of service and care. This is reflected by the large numbers of patients he sees from patient referrals and accounts for long waiting lists for consultations and surgeries.
During your consultation, Dr Rory will use language you understand and also listen to all your motivations, concerns and expectations. He prides himself on the time he takes to answer questions and being available for his patients.
He feels it vital, however, that patients are made fully aware of the realistic expected outcomes, recovery and potential risks and are as informed as possible when engaging in treatments.
