I visited Rory to remove a keloid scar on my ear, but he convinced me that the best course of action was to inject it rather than cut it out. It did the job and the result looks good.

I chose Dr Rory McGoldrick to carry out my breast reduction surgery based on a verbal recommendation and on the strength of his reviews - and I was not disappointed !! He is very "normal" in his bedside manner, which is comforting and refreshing, but he is exceptionally skilled at what he does. Equally important are the team of staff he surrounds himself with, all of whom are caring, professional and very approachable. I had a reconstructive surgery following mastectomy. Dr Rory was beyond amazing. He is extremely professional. It's weird to review someone you HAVEN'T had service from, but I wanted to highlight my experience with Dr McGoldrick as it proved to me that he is someone to be trusted. I went to him asking about the possibility of surgery to fix my aging neck. Another plastic surgeon had told me I would be a great candidate. Dr McGoldrick told me I was too young and that I didn't need it, and recommended a much cheaper, non-surgical option that his friend delivers. With so many people, including physicians, out to make a dirham off of us, it was refreshing to have someone tell me "no I won't make money off of you". His manner is lovely.

I apologise in advance for the length of my review, however I know anyone who is considering surgery will be very grateful to read the details of everything I am going to write... I had been considering Rhinoplasty & Breast Augmentation surgery in Dubai for quite a while, I visited a number of surgeons but the one person that I was eager to meet was Dr Rory, not only had I heard great things about him, I had been left a little dubious about other surgeons I had met here and just never felt comfortable enough to make the decision to book the surgery and go ahead.... Consultation - from the first time myself & my partner met Dr Rory he made us feel completely at ease, he was extremely knowledgeable about the procedures we were discussing, and he just seemed to 'get it' when I explained what it was I was particularly trying to achieve. Every patient is different and it was nice to feel that I was getting a consultation that was solely in regard to my particular requests, concerns and ultimately what could be achieved from surgery. After the consultation I made the decision to go ahead and have Rhinoplasty & breast augmentation (procedure at the same time). Next Steps - Dr Rory's assistant Donna was fantastic in providing constant follow up with all the next steps leading up to surgery. This was really comforting to know that every appointment was booked in, I knew exactly when things were going to happen (e.g blood tests, hospital checks etc) and just a really friendly message to check I was feeling prepared and ready for surgery - this personal touch goes such a long way, and for that I was extremely grateful and it really calmed my nerves. Surgery - I had sleepless nights leading up to the surgery, I really expected it to be the worst! It was honestly not bad AT ALL! What I had conjured up in my head couldn't of been further from how it all panned out. The morning of the surgery, Dr Rory came in to see me to check if I had any other concerns / worries and he really just put my mind at ease once again. All I remember was chatting to the anaesthetist in the operating theatre and the next thing I knew I was waking up in the recovery room and it was all done! The surgery was performed at the Kings College hospital and the aftercare was really quite luxury and the nurses were kind and made me feel at ease. Dr Rory also is on whatsapp so he had messaged my partner to say surgery had gone well and I was recovering fine etc. Recovery - the most difficult part of recovery from Rhinoplasty is having the uncomfort of the tape all on your face and the breathing tubes up your nose (for anyone reading is was open rhinoplasty). My breasts genuinely didnt hurt other than when I tried to move and it was a little uncomfortable. I rested house bound for about one week and then I felt pretty much back to my usual self. Results - It has now been just over 2 weeks since my surgery and I am SO happy with my results. My breast augmentation is everything I had hoped for and more, Dr Rory had said it was quite a difficult surgery because my previous breast augmentation had left some difficulties, but how my breasts look now are just amazing and I am so so pleased. Regarding my rhinoplasty.... I have to be totally honest here because reviews are meant to help.... On the day my cast was removed, I left the clinic and looked in the mirror and I cried! My swelling on my nose was more than I had predicted, and I had a bit of an emotional meltdown where I questioned 'what have I done?!' - I instantly messaged Dr Rory who replied instantly and advised this is swelling, and rhinoplasty final results can take up to 12months to be fully healed. In my moment of personal despair I just couldnt quite understand that, but one week later and already the swelling has reduced massively and my nose is looking so much better than it did! I can see the bump I had is completely gone, I still look like me... just a better version :) and I know with each month the results will get better and better! I genuinely cannot recommend Dr Rory enough!

Dr Rory McGoldrick actively listened to me and focused on what I wanted, not what he thought I wanted and answered all my questions with confidence and knowledge supported by research and years of experience. The other surgeons showed me photos of other procedures they had performed but Dr McGoldrick offered me the phone numbers of past patients to call to discuss their own experiences. This gave me the extra amount of reassurance that I needed and the confidence that these women were 110% satisfied with Dr McGoldrick’s work. I had four consultations with him before the surgery date as I had more and more questions as the time came closer. This was never an issue for Dr McGoldrick or the clinic staff. A blood test was done a week before surgery and another consultation to discuss pre operative instructions. A full consultation with the anesthetist at King’s College Hospital was arranged for me and also so I could meet with the operating team and see where my surgery was going take place. On the scheduled day for surgery I arrived at 6am at Kings College Hospital and was shown to my very well presented private room (I felt like I was on holidays for a moment). Dr McGoldrick came to see me at 7am to discuss any final questions I had and to do some pre-operative markings on my chest. At 8am I was taken down to theatre where I met with Dr McGoldrick and the anesthetist again before I was put under general anesthetic. Dr McGoldrick called my husband as soon as the surgery was completed to reassure him everything went well and that I was in recovery. I remember waking around 11am in recovery with very little discomfort, but more a feeling of pressure around my chest region (which I was already advised was a normal feeling) and Dr McGoldrick advising me all went well. I returned to my room at 12noon were I ordered lunch and had another nap. The nurse showed me what my new breasts looked like and demonstrated how to apply and remove the fully adjustable implant stabilising bra that I was advised to wear for four weeks post-op. The nurses also waited for my husband to arrive at 4pm to discuss all the post-op instructions so that he was aware of what Dr McGoldrick had advised. Kings College Hospital was amazing and equipped with very modern equipment and services. All the staff were caring, professional, supportive and ensured I was pain free and as comfortable as possible. Dr McGoldrick was very aware of how I was treated by the nurses and medical staff, paying full attention to ensuring I was provided with care at his level of expectation. I knew how to contact him if I ever needed anything before, during and after the procedure and his approachable manner gave me the confidence to do so if I needed to. This gave me 100% reassurance throughout the entire process that I wasn’t alone. I’m so glad that I decided to finally have breast augmentation surgery performed by Dr Rory McGoldrick and his wonderful team. I’m so happy with the results and would highly recommend him if you are looking to have this procedure done.

I can not recommend Dr Rory enough. In a location we’re we struggle to find certified, competent and capable surgeons finding Dr Rory has been an absolute god send and he has exceeded all expectations I had. After loosing a significant amount of weight I was left with many areas of my body that had excess skin and needed fixing and a face that required signigant rejuvenating I now have the body and face I’ve always dreamed of. I have such respect and admiration for Dr Rory. After having met several surgeons in the past i instantly felt comfortable and at ease with Dr Rory. He clearly understands the kind of pressure women feel with having to look a certain way yet fully believes in only enhancing what you already have. I personally love his methodology and prefer his “au naturale” approach. I’m 35 and most people are shocked to hear that I’ve had fillers done as I have great muscle movement on my face and forehead. Everything looks extremely natural and no I don’t have the frozen look face that most filler patients do. His method of less is more (in the right places) has made me so comfortable in my own skin and brought back so much confidence in me. I honestly can’t thank him enough. I intend on doing more procedures with him the future ( breast augmentation, kybella, and glute augmentation) and have no doubt that I will receive the best possible care. Thank you Dr Rory

I am an absolute fan of Dr Rory for his real and matter-of-fact approach to his work and his natural and confident talent at administering it. In a matter of my first visit I knew I was in the hands of a true professional and ever since he has exceeded expectations. He doesnt perform anything he doesnt agree with and I do love that he will talk you out of unnecessary procedures. He maps out a strategy that makes sense and quite frankly I am delighted to have found him after all these years in Dubai of being disappointed with haphazard work from other Doctors. On top of that, its always wonderful to see him and have a laugh at his brilliant sense of humour...a charmer, a professional and a lifesaver.

Very happy with my BA results and glad i chose Dr.Rory as my surgeon. He's a professional compassionate and very skilled doctor. He was very attentive before and after my surgery. My breasts look natural and not overdone. It was an easy and not stressful experience with great results.

I had some light facial procedures over a 6 month period with Dr Rory and then found the courage to undertake a Mommy makeover with him. It has been the best decision I ever made.
